                                Bob Anderson

                     from Charlottesville, Virginia

Bob Anderson was raised in Hawaii, where he was exposed to rain forests, a recurring theme in his books. As an adult, extensive trips to West Africa, India, and Central America have allowed him to expand his appreciation for rainforests while developing inspirations for his art work and stories.

Bob has worked as a cartoonist for a newspaper in Paris, he's produced 52 illustrations for a medical atlas on anatomy, and he has worked as an architect (and still does). His first book for children, OBO, was published in 1999. When I Was a Little Boy I Was a Black Panther was published in 2002, and a third book, set in India, was released in 2004.

                                    Dari Carroll

                              from Dublin, Virginia

"Free Of Me" has been a book of tears, experiences, and accomplishments.  Coming from a small town and raised in Pulaski County she found that there has been this pressure building inside that has wanted to reach to others on succeeding if they let themselves.  The author’s childhood has been depleted by abuse, insanity, and lack of encouragement.  Her first book is liberated and without writing she said “I probably would have exploded within as well as not being myself”.  Dari’s thoughts race and love to write about life experiences and her travels.  As her poems reach the hearts of others, being they have similar events, she wants to encourage and inspire the readers to set goals.

Dari Carroll has become a recent published-author and her writings reflect on life, people she meets, and places she has visited.  Self-marketing her books if interested please visit her website: daricarroll.blogspot.com

Newspaper article “Town & Country Living” Susan Strong from the Southwest Times interviewed Dari Carroll about her book of poems.  The author has also made a speech at Critzer Elementary School in Pulaski VA to inspire the students.
